Universality Classes of the Anderson Transitions Driven by Non-Hermitian Disorder

چکیده

The interplay between non-Hermiticity and disorder plays an important role in condensed matter physics. Here, we report the universal critical behaviors of Anderson transitions driven by non-Hermitian disorders for a three-dimensional (3D) model 3D U(1) model, which belong to class ${\mathrm{AI}}^{\ifmmode\dagger\else\textdagger\fi{}}$ A classification systems, respectively. Based on level statistics finite-size scaling analysis, exponent length scale is estimated as $\ensuremath{\nu}=0.99\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}0.05$ ${\mathrm{AI}}^{\ifmmode\dagger\else\textdagger\fi{}}$, $\ensuremath{\nu}=1.09\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}0.05$ A, both are clearly distinct from exponents orthogonal unitary classes, In addition, spectral rigidity, spacing distribution, ratio distribution studied. These strongly support that changes universality classes transitions.

The Universality Classes in the Parabolic Anderson Model

Abstract. We discuss the long time behaviour of the parabolic Anderson model, the Cauchy problem for the heat equation with random potential on Zd. We consider general i.i.d. potentials and show that exactly four qualitatively different types of intermittent behaviour can occur. These four universality classes depend on the upper tail of the potential distribution: (1) tails at ∞ that are thick...

Universality in Voltage-driven Nonequilibrium Phase Transitions

We consider the non-equilibrium ferromagnetic transition of a mesoscopic sample of a resistive Stoner ferromagnet coupled to two paramagnetic leads. The transition is controlled by either the lead temperature T or the transport voltage V applied between the leads. We calculate the T and V dependence of the magnetization. For systems with a flat density of states we find as an exact result that ...

Universality classes for interface growth with quenched disorder.

We present numerical evidence that there are two distinct universality classes characterizing driven interface roughening in the presence of quenched disorder. The evidence is based on the behavior of λ, the coefficient of the nonlinear term in the growth equation. Specifically, for three of the models studied, λ → ∞ at the depinning transition, while for the two other models, λ → 0. PACS numbe...

Classes of non-Hermitian operators with real eigenvalues

Classes of non-Hermitian operators that have only real eigenvalues are presented. Such operators appear in quantum mechanics and are expressed in terms of the generators of the Weyl-Heisenberg algebra. For each non-Hermitian operator A, a Hermitian involutive operator Ĵ such that A is Ĵ-Hermitian, that is, ĴA = AĴ , is found. Moreover, we construct a positive definite Hermitian Q such that A is...
